Shortly after the stock market took a 25% decline one day in the Fall of 1987, he proceeded to own and operate, as Chairman and Founder, a moderately sized mortgage company. Following four years in attendance at the American Institute of Banking, the transition to servicing the banking business was naturally seamless. Although Mr. DeClara had been very successful in the mortgage area, his first love had always been real estate. At the turn of the new millennium, he went back to helping buyers and sellers attain their real estate objectives.
